Head out on an adventurous Kayaking in Shambavi, River Shambhavi is a small river around 60 km in length. It flows from east to west. It flows through a locally famous waterfall called Parpappadi falls near Nitte. After Parpappadi falls it travels around 50 km to meet the Arabian sea. The water level of the river is checked using several small dams. Palimar dam is the last dam towards the west of the river. Shambhavi river has its origins at Kudremukh in Chikkamagaluru district of Karnataka, India. It merges with the Nandini River at Mulki, Karnataka before flowing to the Arabian Sea, south of Mulki town and north of Mangalore city. This river is the main source of water to many villages nearby the river.

Journey from Bangalore
- Take an overnight journey from Bangalore on friday.
- Reach base camp at 6 am, where you will be freshening up and having a hot breakfast.
- Start Kayaking between 7:00 AM – 9:30 AM. Depending on the tide forecast, Paddle paddle paddle for 4 kms
- Stop for short break
- Paddle paddle paddle for 5 km
- Stop for traditional homemade lunch at base camp around 1:00 PM, Have lunch take rest.
- Leave the luggage behind and explore the river Shambhavi, come back to base camp before 6:00 PM
- Barbecue, play music, bonfire, have home cooked dinner and sleep
Return and Departure
- Wake up early( around 5:00 AM ) Have home cooked breakfast and leave before 6:00 AM.
- Kayak back to the most secluded and clean beach of Mangalore – Udupi region
- Goto the beach and have fun.
- Finish the trip before 11:00 am
- Start the return journey back to bangalore at 12 pm
- Reach bangalore 9 – 10 pm
